HRMS Access Role Descriptions
HRMS HR Administrator (includes BAIRS Workforce Detail HD and Summary HS roles)
Update access to Departmental Personnel records in Administer Workforce. This includes Personal Data, Job Data, Direct Deposit, Tax Data, and a number of Inquiry pages.
HRMS eRecruit Originator
The Originator role allows you to create and manage a departmental requisition. It has the ability to create requisitions, select applicants for interview, batch print and sort applicants, add and delete interviewers, record interview results, enter maximum offers, and record applicants' acceptance or rejection of offers.
HRMS eRecruit Department Originator (includes HR BAIRS Recruiting HR role)
The Department Originator role allows you to create and manage any departmental requisitions. It has the ability to create requisitions, select applicants for interview, batch print and sort applicants, add and delete interviewers, record interview results, enter maximum offers, and record applicants' acceptance or rejection of offers. Unlike the eR_Originator_UCH role (which can only view and work on requisition activity related to requisitions created by that Originator), it has update access to all pages related to requisitions in departments in the user's data-permission list, regardless of who created or worked on the requisiton previously.
HRMS eRecruit Authorizer
This HRMS role is intended for those with budgetary authority in the department. The HRMS eRecruit Authorizer approves the requisition and the maximum offer for requisitions in departments in the user's data-permission list.
HRMS Case Tracking - Status Inquiry Only
This HRMS role only provides inquiry to Case Progress and Final Status. This is appropriate for those needing only to track case progress.
HRMS Case Tracking - Detail View & Inquiry
This is a read-only role to view the data in Case Review and Review Path. It also provides inquiry to Case Progress and Final Status. This role is appropriate only for those who have a business need to view this data.
HRMS Case Tracking - Update & Inquiry
This HRMS role is for data entry for Case Review and Review Path. It also provides inquiry to Case Progress and Final Status. Those wishing only to view Academic Case Tracking information should request one of the other two Case Tracking roles. The Academic Personnel Office must approve all Case Tracking role requests. Training is required before this role will be granted, which you can register for in ICE (http://hrweb.berkeley.edu/ice/home/).
HR BAIRS Workforce Detail
This BAIRS role allows viewing of job and distribution detail for your department. Organization Tree Node controls access. If you are an HR Administrator your BAIRS org tree node access will be the same as your HRMS access.
HR BAIRS Workforce Summary
This BAIRS role allows viewing of aggregate data such as headcount, personnel transactions, turnover, and compensation averages. Results are grouped by job type and organization node. This role serves the reporting needs of departmental and central users who perform analysis on summary data.
HR BAIRS Recruiting
This BAIRS role allows viewing of a variety of reports showing data relating to recruiting for approved nodes. This serves the data needs of most people involved in the recruiting process.
HRMS Merit Update
Supplemental role for Dept HR Administrators allowing update access to merit and bargaining unit rosters.
HRMS Employee Inquiry
Displays basic, non-sensitive job information for employee verification and Eligibility determination. Designed for campus service providers such as Parking and Transportation.
HR BAIRS Employment Verification
This BAIRS role allows verification of employment status by individual for all employees on the Berkeley Campus. It is intended only for those departments that have used PAFs or Employee IDs to verify employment status of individuals in order to provide access or services to provide services or have a business need to verify employment status. Campus-wide employment verification should request this role. This role is not needed by departments interested only in data for individuals that they employ, and it will not be granted for that purpose. A brief written explanation of the need for this role is required for this role to be granted. It may be submitted by the manager using the comments field at the end of the approval process, or separately via email to hrsecure@uclink.berkeley.edu
HRMS Job Data NEE View
Designed specifically to manage aspects of Visiting Scholar records. View-only access to non-sensitive Person and Job-level records and Update access to Employment Information page.
HRMS Data Services Admin
Restricted OHR Data Services to enable to provide wider system access
HRMS HR Administrator (cor)
Central OHR and APO only. Provides same access as Departmental HR Admin role but with the ability to correct history.
HRMS Employee ID Delete
Restricted OHR Data Services to enable deletion of duplicate Employee Records.
HRMS eR-Recruiter
This role has update access to all self-service and core module recruiting functions -- including Develop Workforce and Recruiter Self-Service. Employment Services role for Recruiters using core and Self-Service module of eRecruit to manage applicant and Job Requisition pools.

HRMS Payroll Administrator
Central Payroll: Update access to Employee records in Administer Workforce and Compensate Employee records as well as update access to payroll related tables.

Allow view-only access to Merit rosters for OHR Compensation analysts.
HRMS Security Administrator

HRMS Merit ASD
Allow HRMS developers to see Merit component.
HR BAIRS Affirmative Action
This role is restricted to OHR Affirmative Action Office.
