MOVEMENT IN A SERIES
- When
an employee is reassigned from one position to another position
in a class with the same wage rate maximum, on either a permanent
or temporary basis, the employee's hourly rate shall remain the
same.
- When
an employee is reassigned to a position in a class with a lower
wage rate maximum for twenty (20) consecutive working days or less,
the employee's hourly rate shall not change.
- When
an employee is reassigned to a position in a class with a lower
wage rate maximum on a permanent basis or on a temporary basis for
more than twenty (20) working days, the employee's hourly rate shall
be the rate next lowest to the employee's current rate within the
new class. This paragraph shall not apply to employees permanently
classified, on the effective date of this Agreement, as a
Library Bookbinder, a Senior Library Bookbinder or a Principal
Library Bookbinder when assigned to work as an Assistant
Library Bookbinder.
- When
an employee is reassigned to a position in a class with a higher
wage rate maximum on a permanent basis, or on a temporary basis,
the employee's hourly rate shall be the rate next highest to the
employee's current rate within the new class to be paid for all
time actually worked.
- When an employee is promoted, the employee's hourly rate shall be the starting rate for the new class or the rate in the new class next higher to the employee's own, whichever is higher.
