Human Resources Initiatives
As a member of Administration (formerly known as Business and Administrative Services, or BAS), Human Resources follows a planning process called BAS Excels. We have developed a set of strategic objectives and identified initiatives that will help us meet those objectives. In the table below are several of our strategic objectives and the initiatives already under way to support them.
Our objectives are designed to support HR’s primary mission: To help UC Berkeley create an environment where the best people can do their best work.
HR, along with University Health Services, the Staff Ombuds Office, and the Center for Organizational Effectiveness (COrE) recently made a presentation to the Chancellor and his Cabinet about the staff climate at Berkeley and the programs that are currently in place, or that we recommend, to address climate issues. The handout from that presentation is also posted on this website, at http://hrweb.berkeley.edu/about/strategy.htm.
