Redirect of Contributions

After a holiday of nearly 20 years, UC and employee members of UCRP began contributing to the Retirement Plan in May 2010.

Employees who were previously contributing approximately 2% of their salaries to the Defined Contribution Plan (DCP) now contribute that same amount to the Retirement Plan.  In this first year, UC contributes 4% on employees' behalf. Contribution levels for both UC and employees will increase over time.

Resupmtion of UCRP contributions was/is subject to collective bargaining. Some employees covered by bargaining agreements may continue to contribute to the Defined Contribution Plan.
