UCbencom	Self-service UC employee benefits application run by Office of the President. Employees can access UCbencom via At Your Service and telephone. It then stores employee benefit data in PPS
TCT	Title Code Table: a set of control tables in PPS that tracks compensation data for each title
TCS	Title Code System: UC application that tracks information on titles used throughout the system and sends update transactions to the Title Code Tables used at each campus. Managers, supervisors, and staff can access the TCS using the Web Inquiry Tool.
TAP	Temporary Assistance Program: Berkeley's former in-house temporary staffing service
PRT	Position Resource Tracking: module of BIBS used to track permanently budgeted positions
PPSM	Personnel Policies for Staff Members: the policies that cover employees who are not exclusively represented by a union
PPS	Personnel Payroll System: payroll system used by UC campuses, designed and updated by the Office of the President. PPS holds payroll, benefits data, and leave accrual
PIA	PeopleSoft Internet Architecture: technical architecture used by PeopleSoft in its web-based applications
OPTRS	Online Positive Time Reporting System: subsystem of PPS used for reporting positive time and vacation and sick leave accrual/usage
LDAP	Lightweight Directory Access Protocol: network security protocol widely used on campus
IS&T	Information Systems and Technology: Berkeley administrative department that provides campuswide computing, communication, and technology services. IS&T is responsible for the technical environment upon which HCM will rest
HR	Human Resources at UC Berkeley
HCM	Human Capital Management: software application for tracking and reporting on Workforce Admin and employee data
BIS	Berkeley Information Systems: data warehouse for central administrative systems such as BFS and HCM
BIBS	Berkeley Integrated Budget and Staffing System: application that tracks permanent and temporary budget as well as permanently budgeted positions for Berkeley
BFS	Berkeley Financial System: PeopleSoft financial application in use at Berkeley for Accounts Payable, Purchasing, General Ledger and other financial operations
BAIRS	Berkeley Administrative Initiative Reporting System: reporting environments for the Berkeley Financial System and HCM
APS	Academic Personnel System: database used by the Academic Personnel Office to track tenure, faculty events, and histories
