Human Resources Management System

HR-BAIRS and HRMS Inquiry

HR BAIRS reports are designed for departmental reporting on groups of employees. These reports pull together several related data elements about the departmental workforce. They may select data over a specified period of time or as a “snapshot” of the department as of a given date.

While it is possible to obtain data on an individual employee through HR-BAIRS, the Data Warehouse and HR BAIRS reports are not designed for this purpose. Detailed information—including employment history—on individuals can be found in the HRMS application.

In general, allocation of reporting system resources are prioritized in favor of:

  • Pre-formatted reports that are useful to a significant segment of HR-BAIRS users
  • Reporting capability not available through the HRMS application itself

In addition to the HR BAIRS reports, there are a number of Inquiries available to HR Administrators in the HRMS application. These generally provide HRMS data in one of two ways:

  • Information about an individual job record (example: Job Summary, Job Earns Dist Summary)
  • Information about the department workforce (example: Supervisor Inquiry, Employees on Leave)

These inquiries are available in HRMS from the following path: Home>Administer Workforce>Administer Workforce (GBL)>Inquire.

Note: If you believe you have identified a need that isn't answered by available reports or inquiries, refer to Troubleshooting and Reporting Problems.
