HRMS Administer Workforce Drop In Labs
These learning lab sessions are intended to assist departmental HR
administrator staff with questions about HRMS transactions, job aids
and
other resources. Participants will be asked to sign in when they arrive
for
the lab session and will be assigned to a computer on a first come,
first
served basis, up to a maximum of 10 people at a time. We will be offering
assistance in:
-Hands-on Transaction Entry
-Learning how to locate and use Job Aids
-Learning how to navigate hrweb.berkeley.edu
-Understanding how to determine the cause of problems and request
corrections
-Knowing the difference between an employee record and a transaction
row
-Understanding the role of an HR administrator
-Learning how to avoid erroneous transactions, e.g., wrong action/reason
code used
-Providing an opportunity to resolve payroll issues before the payroll
MO
and MA deadlines
-Providing a quick refresher for infrequent or new users
-Understanding and honing basic HRMS skills
Note:
The purpose of the lab sessions is for you to bring your transactions, questions, issues that you are working on, etc.
We do not have a planned agenda or presentation, and it is not a
class (although we'd like to
implement a refresher "class" in the future). You may drop
in and leave any time during the 2-hour block, even if you
just have one question or transaction you're working on.

HR BAIRS Workforce Detail Report Training
HR BAIRS reports provide access to multiple employee records at one time rather than looking up individual records in HRMS. HR BAIRS reports can be useful for validating chartstrings, managing appointment end dates, and managing future dated transactions. Additionally, the Employee and Distribution Views offered in reporting allow the user to see employee data across organizational boundaries for those employees in the user's Org Node access.
The course provides hands-on practice using reports, views, dashboard selection, and sort orders to answer business questions effectively. Refer to ICE (Interactive Class Enrollment) for session dates and times.
