ASE Childcare Reimbursement Program
Effective July 1, 2008, the University implemented a systemwide child care reimbursement program for eligible Academic Student Employees (ASEs), pursuant to Article 4 of the UAW contract. Each eligible ASE will receive up to $450 per semester for expenses incurred during the ASE’s appointment period and within the regular academic terms (Fall and Spring semesters).
All eligible ASEs interested in participating must complete and sign the ASE Cover Letter and the claim form to be eligible for reimbursement. In addition, the Questions and Answers document covers important topics such as eligibility criteria, procedures for submitting a claim, and tax consequences.
Department Administrators should read through the Instructions for Department Administrators as well as the Questions and Answers document, and should be able to provide copies of the Cover Letter, Questions and Answers, and Claim Form to interested and eligible ASEs.
