Leadership Development Program

The Leadership Development Program (LDP) provides an opportunity for Berkeley to develop the skills of motivated emerging leaders prepared to meet the challenges of the campus' changing environment. LDP strengthens leadership competencies  (PDF) and practices. Participants gain the practical insight, knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for leadership effectiveness, through classroom and individual sessions, assessment of leadership competencies, and participation in analytical projects that address major campus issues.

LDP Target Audience

The target audience for this program is high-potential, high-performing individual contributors and entry level managers who want to build their capacity to move into higher level management positions or project manager roles. In the new job standards, this would include those in Professional 1-4, Supervisor 1-2, or Manager 1-2 categories. LDP strives to be representative of campus diversity in all its forms.
