Changes in HR service delivery with the opening of Campus Shared Services HR (CSS HR-APS)

Campus Shared Services – Human Resources recently went live for early adopters in the Chancellor's Office, units in Administration and Finance, Office of the Chief Information Office (OCIO) and Information Services and Technology (IST). With this implementation, what was formerly the Human Resources Center (HRC) is now part of CSS HR-APS.

If you are in a unit that was previously served by the HRC, you can now contact CSS HR-APS using the following methods:

  • Call (510) 664-9000, and press 3 (for HR Services).
  • Email hrapscsshelp@berkeley.edu.
  • Log on to blu and click on "Campus Shared Services," located at the top of the page.
  • Fax HR Benefits at (510) 664-9318 or Records Management at (510) 664-9300.

In addition, HR Benefits and Records Management have also joined CSS HR-APS, where they will continue to serve the entire campus, effective immediately.

The CSS HR-APS Benefits unit will continue to provide the campus with information and support for health and welfare plans and other benefits. Assistance with retirement is available through the Retirement Administrative Service Center (RASC), which can be reached at (510) 987-0900 (Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm), or via the Web Case form.

The CSS HR-APS Records Management unit will provide information to campus departments and employees on E-Verify, Personnel File Guidelines, Records Retention, Hire and Rehire required forms, Service and Retirement Awards point calculation, Seniority Points, Unemployment Insurance, and Employment Verification.

Contacting Benefits and Records Management is now the same as above:

  • Call (510) 664-9000, Press 3 (for HR Services).
  • Email hrapscsshelp@berkeley.edu.
  • Log on to blu and click on "Campus Shared Services," located at the top of the page.
  • Fax HR Benefits at (510) 664-9318 or Records Management at (510) 664-9300.
