New video explains retirement benefits, what to do when you're ready to retire

From UCnet:

When you’re ready to think about retiring from UC, will you know what you need to know and what you need to do?

A new video presentation on UCnet, UC’s website for faculty, staff and retirees, gives you the information you need to understand and begin the retirement process.

Created in collaboration with the UC Retirement Administration Service Center, the Preparing for Retirement presentation offers information about the UC Retirement Plan, the Retirement Savings Program and other sources of retirement income, retiree health benefits, the process you’ll go through when you’re ready to retire and what to expect after you retire.

The presentation also includes five scenarios that compare an employee’s regular paycheck with their retirement benefit payment. Each scenario is different: from a simple calculation of basic retirement income to a calculation for an employee who receives only a portion of UC’s contribution for retiree health insurance.

Designed in short segments, you can watch the entire presentation or selected sections.

This is a video version of a presentation that the Retirement Administration Service Center delivers in person on UC campuses. You can view the video here.
