Closing and follow-up

  1. After the appraisal discussion, the supervisor will complete the appraisal.
  2. Both you and your supervisor should sign the appraisal. Signing the appraisal does not mean that you agree with the appraisal, it means that the appraisal has been shared with you. You can provide a written response, which is optional.
  3. You will be provided a copy, and the original should go in your personnel file.
  4. You and your supervisor should exchange ongoing feedback about performance goals and standards throughout the year.
