Staff Retirement Gifts
The staff retirement gift program is administered by Human Resources in conjunction with the Michael C. Fina Company, Inc. If you wish to browse the gifts available, go to Retirement Gifts and enter the company code 2165. You may browse the gift levels at any time. The gift selection will change periodically, and if you wish, when you retire, you may select a gift from your level or a lower level. You will not be able to enter an “Employee ID” until you have received a notice and the ID from Fina when you retire.
Departments should submit retirement gift request forms as soon as possible after they are aware of a pending retirement. It takes at least six weeks to receive the presentation folder with the gift selection information from the Fina Company. The retirement certificate/letter will be sent to the retiree's home.
Retirees are able to select a gift to commemorate their retirement from University service from among a number of choices. When you retire, you will receive a folder with a letter from the Chancellor, a certificate of appreciation, and an envelope with information on how to select your gift. The letter will contain your specific ID number to be used to choose your gift on the website. You will also be able to communicate your selection by telephone. If you don’t have computer access at home, you may use a computer at the University to select your gift.

To request a retirement gift, the retiree's department must complete the Staff Retirement Gift Request (Word) form, which is now online. Requests may be sent by email to svcawards@berkeley.edu. If you have questions about the program, please send an email to svcawards@berkeley.edu.
