Workplace Success Stories - Best Practices 2003
Maximizing Employee Input in Management Decision-Making

Selection Criteria:

Applications submitted for the Workplace Success Stories Program in Spring 2003 will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  1. Nomination is by someone who works in the department (faculty, other academic employee, staff, manager, supervisor, department chair or student employee).
  2. The practice can be replicated or adapted by other departments (e.g., is not inherently unique to any one department).
  3. The practice conforms to all applicable University policies and governmental laws.
  4. The practice is innovative.
  5. It is an ongoing practice.
  6. It has outcomes that demonstrate an improved environment.
  7. It embraces the concepts of diverse representation, fairness, and/or inclusiveness.

Selection Criteria

Applications submitted for the Workplace Success Stories Program in FY 2002 were evaluated based on the following criteria:

  1. Was submitted by someone who works in the department (faculty, staff, manager, supervisor, department, chair or student employee)
  2. Is something that can be replicated or adapted by other departments (e.g., is not inherently unique to any one department)
  3. Is innovative
  4. Is an on-going practice
  5. Has outcomes that demonstrate an improved environment
  6. Embraces the concepts of meeting diverse needs
