UC Berkeley Workforce Census
The census includes the entire UC Berkeley workforce regardless of pay or leave status, or source of funding of the position, and includes volunteers as well as student employees. The totals in this census will be different from those reported by the Office of the President, which includes only those people who receive a paycheck from UC Berkeley. The census categorizes employees according to their employment rights and privileges, regardless of the funding source for their position.
The census is taken two times a year, once in the fall (October 31) and once in the spring (April 30). A legend is provided so the user can easily pull out the numbers for the segment of our workforce that is of interest, e.g. faculty, staff, student employees.
