Scheduled Compensation Increases for October 2015

Employees in the Academic Student Employee (BX), Skilled Trades (KB), Staff Research (RX), Service (SX), and Technical (TX) bargaining units will receive pay increases in October 2015.  Increases for employees in exempt monthly paid positions will be effective with October earnings paid in November 2015.  With the exception of the Skilled Trades, employees in biweekly non-exempt positions, the increases will be effective beginning on October 11, 2015, and will be reflected in the pay check issued on November 4, 2015.  Increases for the Skilled Trades employees will be effective October 1, 2015.  Central Human Resources is working together with CSSHR and Central Payroll to implement these increases.  For specific information about the compensation increases that will be implemented for each bargaining unit, please consult the “Wages” or “Compensation” articles in the labor agreement.  Copies of each labor agreements can be accessed through the Human Resources website.


New Contract for Student Health Service Physicians (DX) Unit

The first contract for the systemwide unit of student health service physicians has been completed.  The pay implementation for the physicians in the unit began with August earnings paid on September 1, 2015.  The University and the Union of American Physicians and Dentists (UAPD) are in the process of finalizing the written agreement.  In the interim if information is needed about the terms of the agreement; please contact Labor Relations by email ( or by telephone (643-6001).


November Compensatory Time Election for Skilled Trades (KB) Unit

The Skilled Trades agreement allows employees in departments that offer compensatory time off (CTO) for overtime worked to change their election during the month of November for implementation on January 1, 2015.
